The last week has been a whirlwind. Closing Ceremonies were really neat- much more technical than opening ceremonies. What an interesting commitment to the Paralympics China showed- the president of China attended both the Paralympic opening and closing ceremonies.
Flew home on Friday. Oddly enough I am still not caught up on sleep- I am surprised how long it is taking. It has been hard to get back onto a good sleep/wake cycle.
It has been great to see people back at home and to be back at work. Work welcomed me with a party- it was really sweet.
Last night I had dinner with some of my neighbors at the Circus Pub- who put my photo in their menu!
I was invited to a parade with governor Schwarzenegger this coming Saturday and a reception at the Whitehouse in October.
It is all such an honor and equally- It is all so overwhelming!!
Yesterday I think I cried at least four times. I feel a little like a kid at a birthday party- I don't know how to process it all. I climbed this huge mountain to get to China and now- well- things just keep happening!
